This is not a typical front desk role.

At Alchemy Salon, the front desk is the heartbeat of the guest experience.

This role is for someone who understands hospitality at a high level, the kind you feel the moment you walk into a space. From the first phone call to the final checkout, you are creating calm, clarity, and care.

You notice the details. You manage the schedule. You communicate with confidence. You make people feel seen, even on the busiest days.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Guest Care & Hospitality

  • Create a warm, elevated welcome and checkout experience for every guest

  • Support client comfort, flow, and communication throughout their visit

  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and solutions-focused language

Phones & Communication

  • Answer phones confidently using approved salon verbiage

  • Manage callbacks, confirmations, reschedules, and follow-ups

  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members in real time

Booking & Scheduling

  • Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently

  • Understand service timing, pairings, and stylist availability

  • Stay calm and organized during high-volume and high-pressure moments

Retail & Brand Knowledge

  • Learn our retail lines through structured training

  • Confidently recommend products based on guest needs

  • Support a smooth, elevated checkout experience

Front Desk & Space Care

  • Maintain a clean, polished, and organized front desk area

  • Reset and care for the waiting area and front desk throughout the day

  • Salon, spa, hotel, or medical front desk experience

  • Retail or customer-facing sales experience

  • Scheduling or POS system familiarity

TRAINING & ONBOARDING

  • Structured onboarding and training program

90-Day Evaluation Period

All front desk hires complete a 90-day probation period. At the end of 90 days, we re-evaluate together to ensure long-term alignment and success.

COMPENSATION & GROWTH

Pay & Compensation

  • Hourly: $16–$17 per hour (based on experience)

  • Performance Review Increase:
    A wage increase is considered after the 90-day evaluation, pending performance and quarterly review outcomes.

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

  • Part-time to full-time availability

  • Consistent, reliable scheduling preferred

  • Weekend availability is a plus

Interviews and shadow shifts will take place in February, with a planned hire in March.

  • Managing most scheduling independently

  • Fully owning the guest experience

  • Trusted support for both clients and team
