Alchemy Salon Internship Program
At Alchemy Salon Houston, we’re proud to offer a hands-on internship experience for
cosmetology students currently enrolled in school. Our internship is designed to give you a real-world look into salon life—without the pressure of working on clients.
Interns assist with salon operations, shadow experienced stylists, and are invited to participate in education sessions. This is an unpaid program focused on learning and professional development. Upon successful completion, interns receive a Certificate of Completion, a Product Knowledge Certificate, and a personalized Letter of Recommendation. They are also given priority consideration for our Protégé Program.
We offer seasonal enrollment, and this opportunity is open to students who are passionate, professional, and ready to grow.
What’s the Difference Between the Internship & Protégé Programs at Alchemy?
At Alchemy Salon Houston, we offer two unique learning experiences for future stylists, each designed for different stages of your journey.
Internship Program – For Cosmetology Students
This is a short-term, unpaid learning experience for students who are still in cosmetology school. Interns don’t work on clients—instead, they observe, assist with salon flow, and participate in our education sessions. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at salon life and how a high-performing team works.
Interns receive:
A Certificate of Completion
A Product Knowledge Certificate
A Letter of Recommendation
Priority when applying for the Protégé Program
Protégé Program – For Licensed (pending testing) Stylists Ready to Work
The Protégé Program is a paid, hands-on training program for licensed professionals.
Protégés assist senior stylists, receive weekly technical training, and begin offering services at protégé pricing as they build their confidence. This is the bridge between school and a full-time career behind the chair.
Protégés receive:
A structured paid position
Over $20,000 in professional education
Weekly training and monthly reviews
Opportunities to grow into a permanent stylist role at Alchemy
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do. Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
